What if Paul had played the 4001 on Ed Sullivan?

I also have a Jay Turser, the hollow body JTB-134. Am very happy with it. Also short-scale and thin neck just like my Ibanez.
BTW, Epiphone also makes a violin bass (they say viola):

They are around 1999-2000. The former president who had the red one, originally, asked Hofner to come up with different colors as a marketing scheme. They made at least three red prototypes that I've seen photos of, and this one was the fanciest. You can't tell from the photo, but the body top, back, and sides is fine birdseye maple. MOP inlays on the fingerboard and headstock, and modern gold-plated Schaller tuners. I've seen photos of a red-burst one with a neck like this one, and another solid red that had gold hardware and dot position markers. Anyway, Hofner and B&H decided to tone down the trim and produced either 50 or 100 (I'm not sure) each of blueburst and redburst. The blue one is one of the limited editions. The redburst ones have the same trim and features (standard neck, chrome hardware).
