Remember, a friend of mine had it for a few years? Check back in, say, 2040.

I'll fess up - I bought the mapleglow V63 earlier today. If I'd known a fireglow one was coming up later I would have held off though. If someone buys it and wants to trade for a mapleglow let me know!

Hey Tony,

Thanks.

I think I got a pretty good deal, though the fact that that fireglow one is still sitting there with a $1600 BIN makes me wonder. I didn't pay that much for it, so I think it was a fine deal.

Tim,

You did really well!

Mine is a 1988 and she cost $1600.00. She is in excellent condition and I was glad to get it.

The prices are just going nuts and people are really holding onto them.

You know what they say, a bird in hand. I just checked and if the fireglo was a BIN, it isn't now. So, you NEVER know!

I could have sworn I saw a BIN on that. Whatever I'm smoking tonight must be good.

That FG looks sweet!

I hope Chris Pappas isn't kicking himself for selling his to me. Man, I gotta take some pics...

Don't worry Tim,

IMO $1600 is well under market for a v63. The value in any finish should be over 2K.

Funny story though... a couple of months ago I get an e-mail referencing a classified I took out two years ago offering to buy them at $1000. He wanted to know if I was still interested in a Fireglo. What do you think my response was?

Anyway, he may have thought the bass was in bad shape as the neck was severely bowing forward. All it needed a very minor repair, and is now set up with Chromes at super low action. Phenomenal sound as well.

If Chris kicked himself for every bass he sold, he have no legs left.

Ahhhh.....don't worry, Rob!

I've got my fg v63 and fg c64 to keep me warm... Image

No, I've pretty much got my posse up to snuff except for a pristine Shadow....
