I can see the original/new placement getting a more bass response, but the PU's are pretty bottom heavy in the first place. Can't say from experience, I only have my bass with the more bridgeward placement, but I'm happy with it.

Just hope I never bust a truss rod.

Just got my 4003 it amazing, everything I hoped it would be. Only had it two weeks and giged it 4 times already !

Thanks Guys

I've wanted a Ric for years and I'm not disappointed with anything about it. I love the look, feel, neck and above all the sound !

I've got a Jazz as a back up, but I've got a feeling its going to get a bit dusty !
