Pressed metal truss rod covers?

Post by munronichols »

What is the history of the pressed metal 'Rickenbacker' logo covers. They seem to have been on some of the 58-61 'tulip/horn' bodies and also on some of the early 'cresting waves'... I haven't seen any reference in print to these covers at all.. I suspect they were on the lower range models but there seems an absence of info...
Help..
I just fancy getting and old58-64 Ric to mark a place in time !!( Silly old fool !)

Thomas, you've got it just about right. All 1960 400s/450s that ever seen use them. Also some '57-'60 Combo 1000s/900s/950s.
