He mentions adding a TRC, is it or should I say WAS it a real Ric? Check out the chrome nut, and the jack plate looks weird or what?

I think it is legit also, just an added neck pickup. etc. I wonder what the routing for the toaster looks like?

It appears it was a one-pickup 4000 that had that oft-mentioned routing for the second pickup. It's a set neck. He just wired the second pickup into the controls so there's one volume and one tone control for both pickups. Gotta be '70s or early '80s.

You are correct Paul. I did not notice that. My Comcast connection is REALLY bad tonight and I did not wait for all of the pictures to load.

Looks like an 81... "UP-1454" from the pic...

I was fooled. Never saw a skunk striped set neck. Or maybe I never noticed.

Good price for a set neck 4000. I've even got the parts to make it a 4001s....

tempting....

I guess I've never seen a MG where you could see the stripe on just the neck...

My BG "s" has a skunk neck, but no skunk on the body. Guess that's logical as they are not through-necks.
enough, already.

Not all, but a correct observation nontheless.

Some are neck-through.

Quite a cool-looking bass! I might go for it myself.
