Wow, where to start! I do appreciate all the comments. Lots to think about. I'm not unaware of all the Hofner's shortcomings. I do own 2 now, and have had many '64-'67 vintage over the years, and have usually owned 3-4 at a time since the 70s. That said, I still do dig the '65-66 era, and just got rid of one three years ago and regret it. Same with Rics too actually, I think I have around 8 registered here. Again, I always had at least three at all times. Got rid of 3 V63s over the last 6 years, and regret all that too! My divorce brought a big shift in my collection, and I'm just now recuperating. One thing is clear, offing the CS would be a big mistake. Like I said, plenty to think about. In all reality, how high in value can the CSs go? Seems they're already in McGuinn territory or close. $10K? It's unreal. My gut tells me to do like most of you said, bank the CS and somehow come up with the scratch for the FG V63. Again, I appreciate the input. Now, back to the wrestling match taking place in my brain!

Psst. Really, I'll trade the Hõfner for it....
