Yeah i hear ya man they do go for alot of money. They are great instruments but I think I would take just about any rick as long as it was in one piece!

By the way does anyone know if a fireglo c64 would be more popular and therefore more expensive than a c64 mapleglo?

Fireglo and mapleglo C64's go for the same money.
($3000 list price, on both) SamAsh wanted $2100+ to order one for me, but I got the best deal (and service) from a smaller store in Lexington Kentucky.
They're not cheap basses for sure, but if you ask me they're worth every penny.
