Finish Bubbling

Post by aburameshino »

I bought a Rick 4003 JG about 2 months ago and i just recently noticed a bubble forming underneath the finish along one side of the tailpiece. Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem or is it there forever? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Welcome to the Forum Wesley. Is this a brand new bass? If it is you should contact your RIC dealer or RIC directly. If not, you should contact Paul Wilczynski under the "Reflections of a Curmudgeon" section on the Forum. Good Luck and welcome again.

Wesley-Welcome!

If you take a look at my post count, you'll see I'm fairly new as well.

You won't BELIEVE how much information you're about to gain on not only your Rickenbacker Bass, but the Bass guitar in general.

This place is an absolute godsend!!

I've been cruising around these boards for a couple of weeks and I am very impressed with the level of knowledge that some of these people have not only about rickenbackers but musical instruments in general. Seeing as this bass is my first i figured that it was probably a good idea to join the forum, i'm not totally new to musical instruments, i played guitar for 10 years (mostly jazz) so i know my way around a stringed instrument, just not the way that some of you guys do, so I'm looking forward to many a day talking with you guys and gaining some knowledge myself.
