Looking on a Map for a general location, Pick of the Ricks is just to the south and east of Philadelphia over into New Jersey. Chris can tell you the shortest route. A road trip down 95 or the Jersey turnpike and 295 is a piece of cake. A weekend or after rush hour trip is not a bad drive. That area of Jersey has a lot neat little towns that remind me of life in the 60's.

You could easily do a road trip to POTR and visit Philadelphia. Just over the Ben Franklin bridge into Philly is the Penns Landing waterfront and historic section of the city. Very safe and a lot to see just walking around.
There is the angle for the family road trip.

It was a real nice drive down the Turnpike, Gerry. Kind of inspired me to do more highway exploration during my upcoming spring break (transit/transportation systems are a little hobby of mine). It was a really easy trip overall. Didn't hit a bit of traffic, anywhere.
