...then the Emp'll win it, he'll try to turn it around but won't be able to so he'll sell it to GCRep, then we'll all be rockin' out like Motorhead while it gathers dust on Ebay for $12,000...
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

I wonder what a dealer like Chris Clayton or Mike Parks would sell one for.

OK, and since Ken doesn't post here anymore, I should just have it drop shipped to the emperor.

Marc...you may end up really liking it once you get it. Hang onto it until after the Midwest Confluence since that may be the only time I get to see one. Image

Plus I'm sure Paul would want pics for his book.

Look! I'm not really concerned with Paul's book or your little fantasy episodes with the bass...Image

Seriously, I kinda got it for the same reason you picked up that CS before. Just to keep a rare bird in the forum.

Never played a 4003 I liked(other than looks), maybe this is the exception.

BRIAN CRISMAN should be the owner of this one , Marc. Remember the infamous pic of the "bloody 8-string"? A Redneck bass would be perfect for him! He could grind his fingers down to bloody stumps on the redneck and no one would know...Image

Does anyone here have the holy trinity of Blackstar, Tuxedo, & Redneck?

Chris... if it was a 4004, i'm sure it would be in his possesion already.

Yeah Steve, Ted has a Tux and a Blackstar..

Again, that's kinda why I picked it up. I've never seen one for sale before.

I'm sure dozens will come up for sale now that I bought this one...Still want to understand the history of this rare beast. How was it distributed? Who had the opportunity to buy them? Were there fivers and 8 bangers? are they part of the 125 that were made?

I remember someone in a recent post thinking that most of them are celebrity-owned. Theres was a pic posted of Tom Petty and someone else with them, one was an 8 banger.
