That black hofner is incredible. Does it share the extreme price tag range with the Beatle bass?

It's more! (they made only 50).
But you get the tones, and people can't tell right away you're playing a Hofner. Without the typical Hofner "sunburst" (?) finish, it doesn't automatically (to me anyway) suggest "Beatle".
