Mosrite of Century?

I always wanted a Mosrite so I just bought this one on Ebay.Headstock says Mosrite of Century I'm guessing its japanese but I don't know when it was made.Serial number is C1 001.Anyone know anything about this model?

Can't help you Mitch, but I have always wanted one of those Mosrites, in some odd color like baby blue or pink. Never got to play one before though, I have no clue what they sound like. Anyway, cool pickup!

With that serial number, you've got something, Mitch. And it is a beauty!

I don't know much about Moserites except that the Japanese are nutz for them, due to the Ventures connection.

Eastwood makes a fine copy called a "Sidejack", I believe, for around $400.00 new.

Hey thanks for the posts guys!I got the itch to buy a Mosrite after viewing all the different models owned by Johny Ramone on this page:

I paid $527 for this guitar but it came with a Mosrite hard shell case.
