Yes, that's true. It went to Andrew Gold.

Here is another interesting one in Japan. It is listed as a 360V64 with f hole and it has a 1990 serial numer. Nicely aged Fireglo with gold guards and nameplate.

The seond picture looks lovely. The first has color like a Chinese knock-off.

BTW I'm adding an F-Hole to a 350V63. This one is a challenge, because it's brand new and the finish will not be disturbed in any way...

...Or, to those who have seen a number of Ricks in Fireglo from 1967,they look almost as orangey/yellowey...

To me, there's a nice range of eye-appeal color to old or aged FG finishes. The second photo above is just about perfect. The first is probably a less-than ideal photo job.

Wow, that bottom pic, but with a 24 fret neck, accent & three hi-gains, would be my dream Ric!

We can dream can't we?
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

May all your dreams have 24 fret necks, Tony!

I wonder how much a re-fret would cost?

I had been eyeing that guitar, Woody - it's a beauty. And owned by Jeff Tweedy to boot!
