Paul, I have been known to set the alarm for 3 am for a USA auction. I have also lost auctions because my (previous) PC threw wobblies and froze at a critical time! But bear in mind that I live in Yorkshire and up here 1% is a lot of money to throw away! Image

I thought e-Snipe has a max of $10.
So, even if purchase price is above $1,000 (USD) the commission is still only $10.
Correct?

Wasn't "wobblie" a term used in Clifford Simak's novel "City"?

Got in this kind of late. I have the book. Got it at one of the Texas Guitar shows last year for about $100, or so. It is magnificent and if you are a Ric aficionado then it is something you have to have. Might be considered too much a small market piece to re-publish.

this guy apparently has a whole stack of them, and has been selling then one at a time for months.

Only a dummy would pay what some have paid in his last few auctions

IMHO, these aren't ever going to be bargains. They will always be $200 +. There just aren't enough to go round. Demand will always exceed supply. Again IMHO. Great book by the way Image

Graham: Is the book loud? I rarely spend more than $200 on anything that doesn't make a lot of noise...

I believe a forum member was lucky enough to get one off this seller for $140 recently. The last two have gone for $185, and $170. It's the people who don't realise this is not a one-off item that are driving the prices high each time. Hopefully they'll all get a copy soon, and some of us can finally get one at a more sensible price.
