Guns eh? Tell him he's neglecting you. If he doesn't care after that. Grab a business card from an attorney and leave it on the kitchen counter... Make him wonder... A friend of mine had this happen to him.. He ended up buying the Mrs a new car.

That's a good one! Now how do I delete your post before the wife sees it?

Geez.... I think I might be more disposable to him than he would be to me, LOL! But then again....Image

Which do you want more, AFG or BBR? Image That sounds like a value judgement...BBR now, or AFG in a year and a half? Hmmmmmmmm...

I'll have to take the "later" option, as we're still paying for some other recent projects, LOL! Image

Hello, American Express? Well, you see, it's in Blueburst! I know, Purpleburst is nice too, but you don't understand, it's BLUEBURST!

Or you could take option "B." Grab the Blueburst, call Amex and tell them to defer the payments.. Then they can set you up on the pay & travel thingy they have.

Buy it, don't tell hubby till he gets the bill. Then tell him how it would benefit him by you buying the guitar... If he asks how, you say so you won't hear me complain over the next five years how he wouldn't let you buy one now, as in five years the prices on Blubursts would have doubled and that if you re-sold it in a few years you could split the profits with him...

Rationalization is an interesting defense mechanism. The trick is to think RAP. Relationship After Purchase.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Well... my trick's the following: "Oh, honey, it's not that expensive, and you don't want to see me cry and gasp, do you? And after all, i'll keep it in good condition, and in some 10 or more years from now, we can sell it for much more money!" Does it work? Well... sometimes.Image

Don, now THAT's a rationalization that might get his attention--he's a businessman who always thinks in terms of profit after resale--but I think he knows me well enough to know I'd NEVER part with a Blueburst once I got one....

But a happy wife is worth a lot, too!

BTW, I'm still grinning.....
