Yes indeed. A great number and very appropriate for your post Peter.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

While we're on the subject, what a great song. Does anyone know of a decent tab for that song?

I don't know how accurate it is though.

Good work! How do you think I feel....... I'll be on a plane on 9/11!! In Canada, though, so I might be safe. Image

I flew out of Antarctica one year on Friday the Thirteenth...my buddy 'Killer' and I stayed up one night a week before, making black armbands that said 'Death Flight 13', which we handed out to everyone scheduled for that day. We all had fun wearing them around town, until the word came down that anyone sporting one near the plane on that day would be bounced from the manifest. We were nuts, but not crazy, so we all buried them in our baggage...all except for one young guy who must have reached that magical plateau in his relationship with authority...he showed up at the 'pax terminal' wearing his. The threat not to transport him turned out to be empty...oh, them Navy Officers did plenty of purple-faced shrieking at him, but he wouldn't cave...

Unfortunately, the pilots were on very friendly terms with some of the 'blokes' at New Zealand Customs, and requested some special treatment for our young friend by whichever agent had the biggest hands...oh, well, live and learn...

They may be immersed in the most modern technology, but those pilots are a very superstitious lot...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Hmmm... Friday 13th is often my lucky day, in fact...Image
I remember, from my teenage years, a hitch-hiking superstition: if you meet another hitch-hiker on the road who is heading to the place you are going from... oh... meets you halfway, don't ever say hello, even if you know them, or you'll get "stuck". Believe it or not, it works... if you believe in it...

I was born on Friday the 13th. My father was born on Halloween. My son was born on the Winter Solstice. How's about that?

Peter: I arrive at Heathrow on Thursday October 5th and will be heading down to see Tony Carey for the weekend then back to London, staying the nights of the 9th, 10th and 11th, although that's not locked in yet. You're up north aren't you?

Crikey...... am I tempting fate by flying out of Melbourne on Monday August 13th and arriving back Friday October 13th? Yikes!! Image
