Bass 12" speaker question.

Post by dswp »

Bass (2X) 12" speaker question.

Some of you may recall that I purchased a Transonic T100 a bit ago. I am going to use it as a bass amp on some of the smaller rooms that I play. (It does have a bass guitar input on it)

In the 200- 400W range, what would be the best 12" bass replacement speaker that is out there?

Thanks in advance.Image

Here's a souce to browse:

I have an Eminence Kappa Pro-15, and it sounds great.

But if you want to really spend some money, I'd look into JBL or EV.

Dave; You could try E.V. DLX 12's, they are a p.a. bass/lo mid speaker, but they are 20lbs each, good driver tho, and I've used mine for bass and they sound good, although they are in monitors for my sound rig.

Thanks guys. I have always liked EV. We use the T252 speakers for our PA.

Stupid question...Is there a concern about the speaker mount hole pattern, or is every speaker universal?

The emi delta 12LF is a good unit. The Aguilar 12s are a modified version of this and they're not expensive.

EV proline is the only way to go . 12's seem to lack guts in the low end department to begin with . Installing the EV will bring that out in spades.
im getting to old for this ****
