Thanks Andy, but since it's been a while since you got yours...I'd bet it was quite a bit less???

Mike, I've had 4 V63s, 2 brand new, and none came with anything special, other than polish cloth, manual, warranty card, etc. And silver case of course. No certificates or anything special.

Thanks Fran, this is a beauty. It is literally like new...I really like it when people baby their stuff like I do. I am having a tough time learning to appreciate fireglo, however. I may be looking to swap for a mapleglo, if anyone would be into that sorta thing.

Oh sure, where's my Mapleglo when I need it! I'm sure someone will jump on that swap. If not, contact me.

I have a mapleglo v63, but I can't bring myself to part with it. I like it too much to part with it. I have decided to part with my Jetglo 4001C64S, though. It's a nice bass, but I have a fireglo 4001C64 that I like more.

Just a quick thanks to all you who have so kindly commented on my new machine.

Keep me in mind if you want a nearly-mint fireglo v63 in trade for a maplego (or whatever other color?)

Funny, I cannot seem to get the same satisfaction from Fender basses, for the most part. I have bought and test-drove and sold at least a dozen of them, P's, and J's and I had to get a '51 RI P that nearly does the trick for me. I say "nearly" because it STILL not as cool as my Rics.

God bless all you fine folks, and the wonderful Rickenbacker basses we all love.

Mike, I'll let you in on a little secret - Lakland makes a better Fender than Fender does. I have two of their Skyline series basses and they're really good.

Thanks Ron. I really do like the 51 precision resissue I now own, but I'll probably sell the Highway 1 jazz bass. It's cool, because I refinished it in blonde (reranch) nitro and put one of pickguardian's tort guards on it, and some Geddy Lee jazz pickups with TI flats. It's light, and purty, and sounds good, but just can't compare to a good RIc.
I'm sure you understand.
