Vintage 60's 365 OS, what's it worth?
Anyone know how much a 360/365 OS from the 60's is worth? Anyone have one for sale?

David, I am interested in replys to you question as well. Maybe if you are more specific regarding year, you will get responses.

Bob Belloff gave a response in the Appraisals section, since it was posted there as well.
I would say that a decent O.S. six-string from 1965-66-on would be in the $5K-$6.5K range depending on condition and year/finish etc, may more...YMMV...A 12-string version would be about double IMO, again maybe a little more. BUT--they are going up all the time. The older, the more expensive they are likely to be.

The best answer IMO is this: Since there is no established track record for this period, it would be hard to pin down a figure. They would most certainly bring a premium over models that followed, but how much? Hard to say. Ultimately, as with any transaction, it's what the buyer and seller agree upon.

Once again, this discussion proves how rare these guitars are. They rarely come up for sale because the production figures for Rickenbackers are very low compared to Fenders and Gibsons from the same years. Vintage Rickenbackers have really been going up in price lately. In my opinion a gold guard 365 from the early 60's is a $10,000 guitar. It is in Japan.
