Just A Reminder

Post by admin »

Just in case it has gone unnoticed, this is a Forum dedicated to the positive aspects of discussing Rickenbacker instruments.

While it is acknowledged that nothing is life is perfect, posts running down Rickenbackers or RIC will be deleted. There are lots of Forums online for those who wish to be critical of any and all topics and persons who contribute. Again, this Forum is not one of them and hence that sort of post will be removed as I notice it.

There is always a way to make one's point while at the same time showing respect and sensitivity toward others. We are here because of RICs kindness and the willingness of John Hall, Ben Hall and Kenny Howes to post as they are able. I, for one, would like to keep it that way.

To the credit of all who post here, this is one of my favourite places to visit online.

I have come out of the starting gate too quickly on a number of occassions Peter.

I am not naming anyone, just a reminder that we can all think twice before hitting the post this message button.

I agree Peter, but to be fair, I wasn't doing any attacking, I was the one being attacked!

I think everyone, who posts here, pretty much loves Rickenbackers. I don't think Lefty was being overly harsh, or anything, but the thread did start to tank very quickly. Deleting the thread was the right thing to do. RESET ! OK, life is good again Image

In basketball, it's usually the guy who throws the second punch that gets the technical foul!

Personally, I try to keep in mind that much good can come from courteous disagreement.

I am psyching myself even now for the flak I'll get when I actually start doing the work on the 622/12 project guitar, as I'm sure it'll be one of those highly polarized, love/hate type of situations ... Image

While I was writing a carefully-worded olive branch to you, Peter, (Levett), Peter (McC) deleted the thread.

Now, after reading the above, all I can say is:

Jeez, Peter (Levett), give it a rest, will you?

Gary, I can hardly wait to see your project come to fruition. Flak? No way...gentle ribbing? You bet.

Remember, the thread is dead ! It's over now, let's drink our big black cow, and get outta here. Peace and love, peace and love.
