Cheers mate.

Just had my Monty set up and the guy said it growled. I pointed him in the direction of the forum as he has a lovely Rose Morris there! He's a top guy for repairs and does all the local rics I know

Ronan, what Bob said. My first Rick (my first ever bass) was stolen so I know how you feel....

Cheers guys. I just feel such an idiot for no longer having the serial number of it!!!

Anyway...I played a gig last night, my first ever with Monty. I had it set up yesterday by a very good guy in the midlands and it sounded awesome in soundcheck.

The sound guy is very experienced (he was doing the sound on Tour for a few signed bands like Kasabian etc) and he said it sounded better than the MID. Then at the end of the gig he said 2 things stood out from when we last gigged with him 2 weeks ago - the bass sounded 'round' he said when I went around the fret board it sounded even but really punchy. And he said the guitarist (who was using a handwired retro 20w amp we borrowed) had such a killer tone. So I guess it's not all doom and gloom!

We got a call today from a music shop in Birmingham, witheld number, all very mysterious and a lot of things don't add up but we are now 7 guitars, an amp, 2 PA's better off than we were this time last week!

The music shop bought all the gear for £400!!!

If so, that is good news. Hopefully the music store got the IDs of the guy(s) they bought the gear from.
