Best Rackmount tuner

I am looking for a new rackmount tuner for my rig. Does anyone have any favourites (bearing in mind I can only find Fender and Korg ones)

Could you give reasons as well? I currently own a korg pedal tuner which is very good but I would like a rack one to keep things simple

Peterson strobe is available as a rackmount. Another good one is the Sabine.

They are very, very precise. But they are not cheap ($600-$700). I use their StroboStomp foot pedal (not rack mountable), a smaller and stomp-able version of the Peterson strobe tuner. Excellent product. It is responsible for the best intonation adjustments I've ever made.

I have two Korg DTR-1 tuners. They have always worked very well and are reasonably priced for the accuracy they provide. I tried the Strobostomp, and while I am sure it is very accurate, it took me forever to tune as it may be too accurate, if you catch my drift! I also thought the battery compartment was very flimsy for such a pricey stomp box.

Korg makes one with LED's that scan back and forth. It makes a great lighting effect to your rig plus it tells everyone what note you're playing in big letters. It's perfect for jamming because everyone knows what key you're in and what note you're playing!

I have a Peterson 490 that I purchased for piano tuning. I agree with Jeff to some degree that in some ways it is so accurate it can be a pain. A friend has a Sabine rackmount that I find to be very nice. It is easy to use and see. Worth checking out at your local dealer IMO.
