Yeah, and probably another $4,000.00 on top of the retail... It'll read something like "Very rare and hard to find Blue Boy! Only 1 Made."

Well, that's a bit exaggerated, IMO, but rarity does drive market prices up. It's the old supply and demand.

It will increase in value--Ricks are not going down. Speaking of 381s, there were very, very few made in BBR. Get 'em while you can...

Paul, I'm sure your correct. If I were looking for a 381 as an investment the BBR or BB I'm sure would pay off down the road. But to my eye Rickenbackers and blue don't mix unless the color has "glo" suffix as in AZ.

Hmmm...I'm doing some blue Ricks in near future that may change your mind. Mixing the colors for them, changed mine.

But Greenglo I just can't wrap my head around.

I already have a 381v69 in BBR on order since last year. Greenglo may not work but (green) Appleglo would probably be kinda neat.

It seems that Blueburst is a difficult finish to photograph and as such I am not sure that I have a good appreciation of the look. How about a few photos that adequately capture the colour?

Wow, Don, that is incredible! I love the figuring in the back, too. It almost looks liquid! And how appropriate for your 360th post!

Congratulations....I am thoroughly jealous! Image

I knew I should have ordered a 381 in BBR...that finish is MADE for that guitar.
