I saw that and wondered about a 1982...but the jack plate looks legit.

I'm just 1) not that into 4005's, and 2) not into getting a new bass now. Image

It does look real nice for you 4005 freaks!

Though the vast majority of them seem to have been made in '67, I believe the model was made until sometime between '84 and '86. An '82 is perfectly legit.

They were still in the catalogs in the early '80's.

Yes, I mean usually this forum goes bananas whenever "4005" pops up on ebay or other places. Not in this case. Good thing the buyer got a nice bass for a reasonable price! Maybe also a good thing that we (this forum) don't hype the ebay listings anymore...?
