I posted this over at the Fender Forum (because it has Fender content) but this clip is so good I figured people here would be interested in it.
It is the infamous "Lulu" clip, on live TV, from January 4 1969 where Jimi was supposed to play "Hey Joe" and went into Sunshine of Your Love, as a tribute to Cream (who played their last show at the Albert Hall in Nov 1968)
Anyway Jimi caught heat for that from the network (BBC?) This was previously released on the "Strange Brew" movie a decade or so ago- could never find the clip in it's entirety until now.
If only Noel played a Rickenbacker?

Yes, it was the Beeb. I always thought Jimi accidentally cut Hey Joe short because he was distracted by how out of tune he was - you hear him say 'I forgot the words' - although apparently he wasn't that fond of the song anyway. Jimi's comment 'We're being put off the air' was not because of them playing the wrong song. They were being told to wind it up because it was literally the end of the show.
