As I said earlier, Miguel is Portuguese like me and lives in a city North of Lisbon, where I live. We exchanged a couple e-mails not too long ago when Yes played at a local venue.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Those recordings are great. How come Miguel doesn't post here?

I had asked one time about the effects for his recordings. He has an area where he says what effects he used. I was interested in the sound on "Future Times" and how it differs from other songs that he says had the same setup. How can I get that "Future Times" sound with my 4003??

It's the so-called 'harmonised Rickenbacker bass', to quote the 'Tormato' LP inner sleeve.

But Miguel is playing the same 4001CS on multiple recordings, and this one sounds alot different to my ear.

I think in '78 when Tormato was recorded, the only harmonizer available was the Eventide. Beautiful sound, but probably attainable with cheaper stuff these days. Haven't checked out Miguel's stuff yet, but intend to.
