The Blueburst's First Detroit Show

Post by atomic_punk »

Since some people on the board wanted to know when the Blueburst would be out and about in the Detroit area, just thought I would post that my band, Model Citizen, will be playing at Rick's in Redford this Saturday, April 1, and it will be the first appearance in the D of the Blueburst. Also in tow will be my new Fender 5-string Jazz and Hamer 12.
Rick's is on Telegraph south of I-96. We go on at 9:30 and play all night.

And big thanks to Jeff Rath for tweaking the bass for me tonight!

ya ... Steve brought the bass by last night ... along with his new jazz bass ... I teased him a little about drilling a hole in it ... it is a nice bass ... but it was lacking/missing something ... like a low B ... hahahaha ... anyway it is a player and a looker ... and he got to play my new 5 string Fenderbird and the new 5 string p-bass with Ric pickups ...

Hi Steve & Ken, I'm in. Look for the good looking skin headed fella with a lot of chicks around him. Uh, that won't be me.

I'll be the loud tool yelling, "Rod Steward!". Somebody has to be that guy.

Sounds like fun Steve. Maybe Jeff will bring his fan club. Please Jeff!
I'm just happy to be here.

At least you won't be yelling "Free Bird", like we hear every show!
Looking forward to seeing you again, Ken, and getting to meet J. Gary!

Jeff, that would be GREAT! (sarcasm implied).
Are you planning to come out as well?

Thanks Steve, I was getting frightened.

Jeff, isn't that the song that's hard on drummers? Might the rest of the group don fireproof clothing?

Hmm.....anyone know the words? Key? Aren't you sorry you said anything Steve?

Someone bring a camera.
I'm just happy to be here.

Any of you Detroit fellows planning on attending the Midwest Confluence in April? I'm hoping to see you there. After all, Jeff and Steve were at the first one two years ago!

I'll be near Detroit in August. I guess that's a little late though. Image
