Cant' Sleep So

I suggest, most of the jokes which are not based on play-upon-words, are international. When it comes to play-upon-words, it's, in most cases, impossible to translate them from one language to another...
Or do you mean something else, Gary?..

Or two babies perhaps?..
Another schoolkids joke...
Two guys are going to army. One asks another:
- Shall we have to have our hair cut?
- I dunno.
- Oh, come on! Shall we?
- I dunno. Ask the mouse.
- Hey, mouse, do you know: shall we have to have our hair cut?
- Heey, guys, i'm not a mouse! I'm a hedgehog!

Sheena - I laughed heartily when I read your response. Please don't think I'm being nasty but I have several Russian children in my grade 5 class (as well as many other ESL students from around the world). I only realized this year how difficult humour can be to translate! And, I only realized this year how much of our humour (day to day humour anyway) is based on wordplay.
