Okay....I think I'm finally over the flu (and the bad songwriting bout, LOL!), and the anticipation is really starting to kick in....

That thought is making me happy.... or is that HUNGRY? Image

DIZZY! That's it....

But that's nothing new.... or so I am sometimes told....

BTW, Thanks, Aitch--it feels good to NOT have a fever! Image

Any more news?

Or shall I sing more blues?

Just thought I would peruse

And saw this thread still in a snooze....

Okay, okay.... Just trying to wake up, LOL! Image
Now where's my coffee?

BTW my song from the previous page is starting to take shape with my model 220, but I still can't sing it without laughing! Image

I think early next week, Melissa...I was getting close to sending it off, and discovered a tiny spot that needed attention. One more day's drying time before I can start assembling.

The color is incredible. The grain on the wood, while not exactly flamey, has a lovely "flip" to it in changing light!

Pictures soon...

And following soon afterward will by a '72 4001 refin with an interesting (and possibly unique) color. Might be a couple of weeks off yet. Stay tuned.

You and me both, Aitch! I'll almost be sad when I don't have any more projects for the Curmudge, LOL! It's certainly exciting entertainment, especially when the guitar belongs to you! I'm sure I will be ecstatic to see how the color turned out on this guitar.....

And Paul B, I'm looking forward to seeing how your bass turns out too! Image

....I've been coping by jamming furiously on the 220 ....it's getting downright addictive. So much so that I think Pretty Purple is starting to get jealous....

Give her a pat on the tailpiece and tell her to wait.... she's undergone major cosmetic surgery and too much activity this soon afterwards is not good for her! Image

Melissa, I have the 425 thing coming up and my son is a James Hetfield fan and Paul is going to do the red flame job on a Flying V for him. However, we are a month or so down the calendar.

I'm also waiting to see how that 79 4001 comes out.

Aitch, I think she'll get her workout tomorrow--I wrote a new song today on the 220, but I am curious if it will sound as good on the 330, which I want to take to rehearsal tomorrow night.... The 220 is probably too rocky sounding for the rest of the songs in tomorrow's lineup....But it sounds so darn cool!

Brian, it'll be fun to see how your projects turn out, too! Red flames on a flying V? Sounds like something my kid would like as well! Image
