Too bad. I had some Bobby Lee straps and I really liked them. They were the kind of "Native American" look embroidered straps they made in the '70s and '80s- not a fashion statement really but just fun to look at. My dad had one on his Strat, so when I started playing I had to have one for my Fender Squier Bullet, and then a blue on for my LPB Strat. Didn't know they were out of business *sigh*.

OK, I know that this isn't very 'C' series, but I just bought this Levy's strap on the bay for my 360V64-12 & it is the most comfortable strap I have EVER owned.....

All leather (padded) & fantastic quality!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

You should be able to belt out those numbers now Tony!
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Tony, Wow! I have that same strap on my '68 4001 and you are right it is so comfortable! It's really nicely padded and quality looking.

Y'know, I have a different strap for every bass I own, I suppose it has just become a ritual to buy one when I get a new bass. They all have different weights and balance points, so I just find the best strap I can for whatever it is...

I discovered the Planet Waves Blasted Leather series when I had my Fireglo 350v63. I got the dark brown one with rivets--very comfortable wide-leather strap and I thought it looked great with the finish--hope this helps-

FYI, I saw a 360/12c63 in the window of Rudy's (NYC) yesterday. I wonder what they want for it. Seems weird to me that some people are on waiting lists while at the same time some other stores have the guitars in their front windows.
This is off the record

Yeah, I've noticed that Musician's Friend has had a few in stock lately. I'm actually content with being on a waiting list right now, because it gives a student on a budget a chance to save up for a nice work of art. Image

I know, I didn't mind the waiting either. But now it's been over a year since I ordered it. Guess I'm just getting antsy.

I know it will be worth the wait when I get it.

But still.....

Jerry, I feel your pain. I had ordered my first Ric, a 350v63, and had waited about 9 months, always seeing the estimated delivery date ship to the right. One night while web-window shopping I saw the same guitar on MF in their clearance section, thought "what the heck, free return if I don't like it." Ordered it and kept it--it was evidently a return, as there wasn't a scratch on it.

Having said all that, I think there's something to be said for holding off and waiting--that's what I did on my new 325. Felt like Christmas morning when I got the email from Gary ant NCM ;-). There was also something cool about knowing there's a surprise out there waiting for you!

Was just over on the Ric Corp forum and saw some people posting that they're being told on some orders not to expect the guitar for 3-5 years! Oh my...

I don't know what to think. On the one hand, we applaud Ric for keeping the work in the US, for taking their time and craftsmanship to put out a quality product, and on the other we grouse about the waiting times. On the one hand we see the 360/12C63 in distribution for over a year, but only a handful on the shipping lists, and on the other we have the Miami, out since January, looking like they're falling out of the sky on the shipping lists.

And on the one hand I'm an impatient adolescent waiting for Christmas Day, and on the other, I'm a 54-yr-old guy who works for a company that would be out of business if we couldn't get product out the door.

This guitar stuff is sure a weird business....

Yea Jerry , I understand what you are saying as I'm in the same boat. I'm wondering now if I should skip the 360 & shift to the 325c64 as they seem to be moving out at a fast clip.. I'm 24 on the list at NCM for the 360-12c63. Gary's only recieved what 7 guitars in a year and already 8 325 64's in a few months time. Bill your 325c58 was going to be mine if you had declined the jetglo. I had e-mailed Gary about the possibility of getting the one 325c58 in stock in lieu of the 360-12c63 he said it was promised already but if anything changes that he would be happy to sell it to me. Gary was kind enough to respond to several of my e-mails regarding the possibility. I sought counsel with a knowledgeable owner of 325c58 that was invaluable to me. I'm very happy that you recieved it, it is a beautiful guitar, looks great w/the Bigsby. But back to my original point, what started that whole exercise was my waning patience of waiting for over a year and longer. My wife bless her heart recognized my wavering and kindly suggested that I suck it up and start acting my age. I'm 50. Is there a 12 step program for Ric waiting list's? LOL!!!
