The knobs on some V63s look wrong.

Yes, the title says it all. On some early 325V63s, the knob positions look very odd. They seem to be slanting in towards the body. Why is that?

Seriously, nobody has an answer? Here's one on eBay that has the slanted knob thing...this is a 1989 model.

The knob placement is a bit off center on the 80s era 325s, the V59s were the same way. This may have had something to with the manner in which the top was routed for the pots to fit in the cut-out....In any event it was corrected in the 90s to a more accurate placement. The later V63 you have, the more accurate IMHO....

This was corrected in '92 or '93.

I brought this up a year or so ago, because to me the Susanna Hoffs knobs looked a bit weird in the poster. Also, the JL knobs did too (but that is an artist rendering, and the photos of the actual guitars looked square). If I remember correctly, I was told that they all were indeed square and I was just seeing things due to the angle.

At least I am not crazy!

Look at the blue 320 in the "320 Clarification" thread. Same guard.
