Dave, the Eggs are in a great state of mind right now, we've got a new drummer, new blood always helps a band revive itself, also, last month we came in 2nd in the Austin Music Awards in our category which we've won the last 5 years, so that has fired us up too. All sorts of cool stuff in the works.
I missed the whole, horrible disco scene, thankfully. I didn't start playing 'til 1977 when I saw the Pistols on TV.
You should get a Beatles band together, we didn't have all the "correct" gear when we started, just good players/singers who were into the music, the rest came later.

Hey Ronn- Is David Fore no longer the drummer? Years ago (early 80s) we roomed together and were in the Vince Bell Band in Austin for about 5 minutes. Steve Beasley

Ronn: I have two guitarists in mind and would need to find a drummer willing to simply replicate the Beatles songs. I played with the guitarists 30 years ago and always did an acoustic set of Beatles tunes to open the third set. We also did a killer version of "Long Tall Sally." Pittsburgh is still about 30 years behind musically, so we'd probably go over very well. I may just call these guys. I think we're all old enough now to be over any crazed desire to do originals or actually get a recording contract. But making money would be OK, I think ... heck, I'd do it for gas money. No, I'd do it for free.

OH, now I REALLY feel ancient. Side two starts with "Here Comes the Sun." This brings to mind the day a friend brought over some old radio shows on vinyl LPs and gave them to my then 4-year-old son. "Gee, Thanks!" he said. "What are they?" That was 13 years ago. Someday his kids will ask what CDs were. It's the circle of life, Simba ...

Thanks Dave! I'm old enough to remember and still have some vinyl albums, but I just never had Abbey Road until the CD version came out.
