"Lyrical" ("extended")

Post by sowhat »

Yet another simple puzzle - 5 more lines (60s, UK acts)
1. Well I get them every time
That I feel your lips on mine
2. I'm sitting up here in the sky,
But i don't care cause i'm high
3. Feel so good,
Come on, love me like you should...
4. Seven days of week i think of you...
What's my poor heart gonna do?
5. Arrive without travelling
See all without looking
Do all without doing
-----
Identify the song titles, the performers, and which one is the "odd one out"?

Sorry Sheena, I feel like Kramer, I'm out!

I know I was alive during the 60's, well I was here, this rings a bell but no idea. I never listened to the lyrics. Too busy with the bass lines.
I'm just happy to be here.

#2 sounds like something Hendrix would have written. Well obviously not because they're UK acts.

#5 - absolutely right, Rob!
Mike: hints... hmmm... that wouldn't be easy, but i'll try. All the five acts (bands, to be precise) were part of British invasion... i can't think of more hints for the moment...
Bob: no, #2 is definitely not Hendrix... albeit i must admit, this one is not the most famous song by this band, but i'm pretty sure there are people on the Forum who can identify it...

A guess - "2. I'm sitting up here in the sky,
But i don't care cause i'm high" The Small Faces? Sounds like something Steve Marriott would write.

No, Mike, and (strange as it seems to me) - no, Tim... i'll wait until tomorrow and then post short sound clips (i. e. the same lines with music, except for # 5 of course).

So, here are the sound clips, except for # 5, since Rob has already named it, and # 1, since Roy has mentioned he knows what's that...
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=20LSNJC2103MB03COWE64DSSZK - number two
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2NX9JA9RJ0KE12AORCWOZ1UWCT - number three
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1EFYDEXOXG0NM21E3PME8PQNUN - number four
The questions remain the same: who are these acts, what are the song titles and which one is the "odd one out" and why?
