Our guitarist, who is a professional guitar builder/repairer, had a full collection of high end guitars brought into his workshop that had all been trashed by an unhappy wife! She is an unhappy ex-wife now!

There have been many times that I have wanted to take my bass and smash it over the head of a singer. I wouldn't do it with a Rickenbacker, but I have a very heavy Jazz Bass that would do just fine. But,then again, why trash a perfectly good bass over the head of some a$%#hole singer!

He must be a really kind and nice guy, Peter... otherwise he might have been a widower...

Never hit people with Ricks! That's what those weighted bottoms on mic stands are for. Or use a Fender if you only have the 3 legged stands close by.

Why are people paying so much for severely damaged instruments. I am NOT hung up on cosmetics, but I would not pay over $300, if that, for either one of those.

Just me?

atlas mic staand bases weigh about 12lbs, better than a bass almost of any nature, and a 12lb iron frisbee can be thrown from a distance..hehe

Me thinks that discus tossing would be a more positive way of discussing situations without causing harm to what appears to be a formerly nice instrument!
