Too much. At least that's what I paid for my May'73 with all the goodies on it. But then, mine was in exceptionally good condition, too.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Yes, the neck slab is not apparent on the top of that bass. It is A) a one-off or prototype B) a highly modded production bass C) a faker.

I worked on a Cii a bit tonight and looked very carefully at the fingerboard. If there is a finish there it must be very thin. Possibly tung oil as Brian suggested. I am tempted to revise my opinion. It seems possible now that there really is no finish

After the Eastern holidays I will post more pics of the "Laredo", also the first comments on the sound an playability. Tomorrow our family will be dealin' with other "wooden instuments" (on skiing vacation). Happya and blessed Eastern everybody!
