Tony: yep... i think we should be thankful that those "alien" guitars&basses' creators (and mr Richman, too) are not influenced by RIC...
BTW, i think the d-day will be when mr Roehr buys one of mr Richman's creations for megabuck... sorry, couldn't resist...

Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

For those who may have lost the origins of this thread...
Mr. Richman (aka mvpgretsch) used to post quite often on another Forum devoted to Gretsch guitars. The consensus among our members was that his hand-built guitars, each featuring hundreds of dollars in gold-plated Gretsch pickups and parts, were worth little more than their parts value. He used to put these creations up for sale on eBay with ridiculous price tags. He never sold one. His creations were the inspiration for the third part of the title of this thread.
Mr. Roehr is the infamous "emperor26", San Diego County's notorious reptilian guitar-flogger/neo Nazi mouth-breather.
The dealings of these two are strictly a figment of Sheena's imagination, yet--who knows? Some day...
Well, I know who'd win.
For the record, mvp's calendar never appeared and he hasn't created a new guitar in about three months, a record, as his typical gestation period is roughly as long as it takes him to get the garage door open and the coffeepot on. He purchased a '56 Cadillac Seville convertible in poor condition, muttered something about "give me five years on this baby"--odd for someone with the attention span of a gnat--and blew out of Canoga Park in a hail of hydrocarbon-coated pea gravel.
Adios, mvp! Requiescat in Caddy!

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”
