After a long run with an EMG double coil, and much recent experimentation with various combinations of Ric pups, it finally came down to the obvious - a set of early 90s horseshoe and toaster pups! This is "the one" for me. 1989 4003S with a Hipshot bridge, mirrored PG, 4004L TRC, and vintage knobs.

Awesome collection of horses from all you guys, Jared and Dave...have you two ever considered seeking professional help? ;-) Just kidding, by the way how do you hang a guitar on the wall like that, that's just too cool. Can my horse join your group? Image

Mr Hall said on the Rickenbacker Corp. Forum

"I think when the first C series basses begin to fall out of the warranty period, we will begin selling these. I'm not sure if any limitations will be placed on who can order these"

Or that a swap for any style treble pickup is required as they do with TRCs (I'm hoping).

Yes, that 63 is a thing of beauty. 10 years on and Jon's bass is certainly a looker too...

Yep Jon, that's still the ultimate BG. Prettier than the later "redder" version. Not that there's any flies on that color. Just makes me sick for my '69 BG even more. *sniff*....
