I liked the show except for the liner notes guy who said something like 'the instrumentals on HELP were fun to hear again'. Sounds like a 'company man' to me!

I don't mean to overstate my case, but those instrumentals really bothered me...

As he stated in the interview, Capitol viewed their version of "Help" as a soundtrack, not simply an album. So they included the instrumentals just as UA had on the AHDN soundtrack. With CD programming, you can skip the instrumentals a lot more easily than you can on an LP.

You name me ONE Beatle fan who bought that album to hear the smarmy instrumental stuff.

Stan: Programmable CD player=**** filter. I could argue the point that to film buffs, the actual Beatles tracks might've been **** and the smarmy instrumentals highly sought-after. But I won't.
