Did seem like a good buy. I was put off by the poor presentation. Stock photo's, relatively new ebayer, Canadian location can become an issue if there is trouble.

If all is good, someone got a deal.

As "that certain Canadian forum member", I have a tale to tell. I would normally never bid on such a sketchy auction, but the seller said that if I won the auction I could pick it up in person, (about a 2 hour drive away). After winning the auction, I was told that eventhough the item location was listed as London Ont., the bass had to be shipped from Calgary before I could pick it up (???). For the past month, I've been hearing that the bass would be arriving in London soon and that they'll contact me to arrange pickup. At this point, I would be very surprised if anything came of this, although I'm not willing to give up yet. At least I'm not out any money. If this deal totally tanks, aside from leaving negative feedback, does anyone know if it's possible to report what would appear to be a case of fraud to Ebay?

Don't know about auction passed, but they're supposed to be adding a "report this auction" option on all eBay auctions soon.

The guy has mostly good feedback but some of the negs and neutral feedback don't tell a very good story. I guess you could give the guy a negative or neutral feedback but then he might return the favor. That is what always kind of scares me about giving negatives.

I don't really have a problem giving a negative feedback - if they auction something they can't deliver, they deserve negative feedback. If they turn around and do the same to me, I'll simply add my side of the story to the feedback. As I said, I'm still hoping for a happy ending to this story.

I can't see any negatives or neutrals in the sellers feedback, it shows as 100% positive on my screen.

Yes, 100 % positive, but he was the seller only twice - one of the items was about $500 worth, the other even cheaper... the rest of his feedback is from sellers.
