Ricks in Myrtle Beach area

Post by stubby »

I'm off on holidays at the end of this week-the family and I are driving down to the Myrtle Beach area. Any good guitar shops you could recommend in the area-you know where I can get my eyeful of nice Ricks?

Bill, I don't think there are any Rick dealers in the entire state but John Williams should know for sure since he lives there.

If you can make a bit of a detour, check out Mike Parks' shop in Raleigh North Carolina. http://www.the-music-connection.com/ric.htm

I LOVE Myrtle Beach! I've been there many , many times.....but I've never seen a RIC there...other than my own. Cruise the pawn shops and maybe you'll get lucky!

No Authorized RIC dealerships in SC. I haven't been to Myrtle Beach in at least 6 years and its always growing. You might want to do an internet check on the area for music stores.

How far is Raleigh from Myrtle Beach? Might be worth the stop.

Raleigh is about 2 1/2 - 3 hours from Myrtle. Take the 17 up to Wilmington, then take the 40 into Raleigh. You may want to call Mike Parks in advance - I don't think he has a store front as such.

I know for a fact that there are at least 35 RICs in Columbia, SC. :-)

I'll be back there in July; I'll look again. I'm not optimistic about it.
