Not really. Considering the MSRP is $1639.
I even have the original receipt that goes with the bass. Keep full track of it.
I thought $1395 was a deal with that finish.
Okay, enough talk..this is really killing me. Death in taxes.
1000 bucks for a new 4003BBR? Where?
Seems that a few extra bucks for an unavailable COY
with out the wait is a fair deal.
Sure I'm paying a few bucks less, but I'm still waiting....
Need your advice on this.
Someone e-mailed supposedly from New Zealand who is interested in the bass.

Thanks for the pictures.I'm okay with the price $1,395 and condition as stated by you as am highly interested this purchase.
I'll instruct my Client in the States,to issue out a Certified Cashier's Check tagged $3,150, drawn from a US bank in your name.Having it in mind that business is based on trust,When you receive the check, cash it, deduct the amount due for the purchase, and send the remaining funds to my shipping Agent via Western Union Money Transfer, whom will then come over to your location for the pick up and take care of all shipping issues. If you are alright with this arrangement, provide me the following info:
1)Name as to be written on check
2)Full address to where the check will be mailed out to
3)Phone # so as to contact you
Get back to me asap so we can seal this transaction.
Regards,
Morris Elaine.
Okay, that last one just made me cautious about the transaction. A check for $3150 and I cash it! Give the remainder to his agent! What the hell is this?
What do you fellas thing? Scam?
Yes, it's a scam! Some jerk, supposedly in the UK tried to do the same to me with a bass I sold on ebay. He went from 0 feedback to 4 negative feedbacks from other sellers and got his account deactivated, all in one day.
I could never quite figure out the scam (I never got past the first email) but I had many similar ones when posting in classifieds for a fender Urge II.
I know the check would be bad for sure. I steared clear fast... my worry was that they just wanted my address to pay me a visit some night when I was sleeping (as they would know I have things of value in my place).
Just post a reply asking for a phone number so that you can talk to them in person. They will magically disappear... that is what I did.
