Damn, Geddy and a 4001 is magic. What a tone.

The quiet part is one of my all time favorite bits. I love the use of dynamics & space.
Is there any way to save those youtube vids to your hard drive?

Good vid, I stopped watching after the camera man didn't go to Geddy for the solo.. just seems stupid!

The quiet part is sublime. Dynamics and space! Good description of that part. Those 3 guys were at the top of their game in those days. Sound was awesome!
What d'ya mean... the bass is TOO loud!

Good vid. Im with you Nate, its a given that the cameraman will nearly always miss the solo.

That I-beam in front of the drum kit is a real headpiece buster isnt it?? I bet Geddy had some real issues with that.

There's a couple of bits where it looks like he's going to whack it with the headstock - nightmare.

Sorry everyone, I messed up the link for saving these. The correct one is:

Looks like Geddy replaced his tuners as well as the bridge on his Ricks.

Was there a close up shot of the back? I need to know what to put on my bass! I have the badass bridge and Schaller M4S tuners, but I've heard Geddy used Grover Titans.

I missed Rush as a youngster, what I heard on the radio never hooked me. This performance is an eye opener. Great stuff! Thanks Jon.
I'm just happy to be here.
