New to the board...CW 360 with B5 vib

Post by dkxl5 »

New to the board. My CW kept beggin' me for a Bigsby B5 and I finally got the guts to fire up the drill and do it. It's not something I recommend everyone to do to a CW, but it's my favorite and I intend to keep it for a long time. It was scary because I'd never seen or heard of anyone putting the B5 on a 330 or 360, so I headed for uncharted territory. There's a good 3/4 inch of wood under the mounting area so it seemed possible (measure 10 times and drill once). It's extremely solid and works fantastic. It ads a whole new dimension to a great sounding guitar. Strung up with Pyramid flats.

Welcome to the Forum, Dave! Nice job, too!

This modification has been done to a 300 series before; here's an example:

Yours is the first example on a 360CW that I am aware of.

Welcome, Dave. Congrats on a great job. Quite frankly, I would have been wearing 3 pairs of undies and brown trousers just in case!! Image

Nice CW Dave, i've got one in JG and it's incredible. I don't think i'll be firing up the drill anytime soon though! Image
