Somehow to me, Fireglo looks better on the simple lines of the 4004. Very nice.

I think the gold hardware looks nice on it too. Kinda fits with the warmer color type thing. No diss to the chrome tho. I think ill take one of each.

For those of you who have 4004CII5 basses I think I have figured out a simple retrofit to the HB2 pickups to make them cover a 2 3/4" string spacing ... I have found a source for the parts on the internet and I will do an experiment on my 2020 4-2-5 bass to see if it works ...

also the 4004 fireglo basses look cool with gold or chrome ... but I think they would look better with a white trc ...
