WHAT'S UP WITH PAUL'S SON??

Post by chingnchime »

Does anyone know much about Paul's son, James, who played some guitar on Paul's FLAMING PIE album?
Is he following in Pop's footsteps now, or is it just a hobby with him?

Can I be the only one who thinks it would be neat to produce a biopic with the lads played by their sons? Dahni (sp?) looks so much like George, and Julian looks pretty much like John. Zack Starkey is a drummer, no? Hey, I don't look like him, but I want dibbs on Ed Sullivan!

Yoko would insist Sean played John.

And Yoko would get her way... OR ELSE.

To think...she OWNS Lennon's name, likeness, his stuff, nearly everything to do with him.

And she wasn't a Beatles' fan.

Ooops, got off topic.
I too would be interested in some info on Paul's son. He can play guitar decently.

Hmmm .... Who would play Yoko in this hypothetical biopic? If only Toshiro Mifune were still living ...

Paul- Yes, you're the only one who thinks it would be neat.

Now, anyone want to discuss the question at hand? (What Paul's son is doing)

Paul's son also played on the album "Driving Rain."

Julian would be too old to play John. He is older now than John was at his passing.

Speaking of playing John Lennon, I watched "backbeat" again the other day and couldn't figure out how I recognized the actor who played John Lennon. Turns out he was the evil professor from the first Harry Potter movie (hard to tell because he wears some wrap on his head the whole time, and then he is bald).

Interesting. One day, John Lennon. The next, Harry Potter's foe.

Lee Starkey (Ringo's Daughter), Barbara Bach, Paulie, and son James, 1998. (From the internet)

Somebody please photoshop a Beatle haircut on James, just to satisfy my curiosity!

I would think being Paul's son comes with good and bad. If he wanted to be a musician, YIKES!

You know, Pauls idea of the kids getting together makes sense to me. They have no other peers. The experience of being a Beatle child is foreign to the rest of the world. It may be the only opportunity they would have to work with potentially like minded souls, who are not "tweeked" by the whole Beatle business.

I read an interview with Paul and his bass Capo. He said that when they were playing, they loved to experiment with anything...just to try it. I think his quote was "a capo on a bass? Why not? We'd try anything once".

Hi Alisha, welcome!

Steve, I think perhaps the lovely Alisha was led astray by Jerry's very interesting photo of McCartney using a capo on his bass. If she had not commented on it, I would have missed it in the photo.

Not sure if the photo has anything to do with Paul's son, but cool nonetheless. Looks like the unidentified chap in the picture loves Rickenbacker's.
I'm just happy to be here.
