Bob, thanks for the kind remarks. I've got a couple of things in the works of the nature that you suggest. More information soon.

Jwilli, I'll post photos of the finished BG 4001 in a few days.

And, now that I look at it, that photo above of the back of Melissa's 481 is really nice, although the color is a lot deeper in real life. And, yes, that is a knot showing on the left lower bout. And it looks great and natural and like it belongs there!

I'm speechless.

It's soooooo pretty..... But you really have to see it firsthand to fully appreciate it. Image

Yes, I am thrilled with Paul's amazing work, again.... Finally, my Blueburst dream has come true! Thank you, Paul....

Great work Paul....

For what it is worth, to me…

I found that a halogen light source (MR16 lamps), when used with my digital camera, (w/o the flash), gets the pics pretty close to true life. I think even more so than natural day light.

Awesome job again!
I think that I'd be more afraid to get that first nick in a refinished guitar than even a new one, since more work is usually involved in (properly) fixing the myriad problems the average aged guitar usually possesses than was originally required to produce the guitar in the first place.
(Meant in no way to dismiss or diminish the efforts to build a fine instrument!)
