JV series Squier basses information

I briefly owned an SQ squier precision last year which was really good but surplus to requirements at that time.

After I seasonally adjusted my gear, I have now managed to get a hold of one of the JV series precisions.

I know a fair bit about them but like anything unusual or relatively rare trying to find out more about these fine Jap instruments can be difficult.

I have narrowed it down to being a late 1982 model going by the serial number and the fact that it is badged a Squier with small Fender logo as opposed to the first ones that year which had the large Fender logo and small Squier one.

Does anyone have any information on these or any websites that I could satisfy my craving for information?

BTW this is number 2 bass - 4003BB is still the daddy
