Isn't the "unidentified chap" good 'ol Georgie Martin?
My first bass was a Rickenbacker...
My best bass is a Rickenbacker...
My last bass may very well be a Rickenbacker

Yes, and he's thinking: "A Capo? Two capos? On a bass?"

Jerry! Are you kidding?!! Great photo! Half the time I'm on this forum I forget what the topic is, other than Rick nuts. Get em while they are hot.

George Martin, damn is he young there. That photo reminds me of how simple a time and process the creation of the "Beatles" mastery was. You would think landing on the planet today that the Beatle "book" arrived in tablet form from Heaven.

Speaking of Beatle creation, any idea on the ages of the Beatle baby musicians? Brian alluded to the age difference perhaps being too great between them to share much in common. Is James in his twenties? I'm the old fart in my band by 12 years and I have a heck of a time getting the youngsters to play anything new.
I'm just happy to be here.

James has the great luxury of being able to do anything he wants and also the great curse of having to do it under a microscope. It's remarkable that we haven't heard more about him. I hope that he's doing something that pleases him and is worthwhile. More than that, no one can ask.

He may have been blessed with his Dad's good sense, if not his abilities. No embarrassing headlines for the young Mr. McCartney yet.
I'm just happy to be here.

Who to play Yoko in a biopic?

Cousin It from the Addams Family could probably do with the cash and is marginally better looking.

Hello ...

I've just joined the Ric Forum and posted my first entry the other day
(see the Blissful Juggling threads).

I've enjoyed reading MOST of the ongoing threads
here, but I've gotta tell you that
I am pretty repulsed and ****** at the ongoing
bashing of YOKO ONO.

I don't KNOW Yoko, personally (although I did see her in person once for a short time... She was very kind and gracious).

All I DO know about YOKO is that I've enjoyed her artwork (ESPECIALLY "GRAPEFRUIT") BEFORE
she met up with John and the Beatles-circus.

Her book had GREAT effect on me and opened up
a ZEN-like perspective for me of reality and
my experience of life in general (try READING it)

I've also enjoyed her other works pointing to the
BASHING of women and the double standards in
many cultures (WOMAN IS THE NIGGER OF THE WORLD
is HER title even though it's a John Lennon song)

I also enjoyed her work to raise people's consciousness about increasing LOVE and PEACE
in the World.

It was YOKO's idea to I M A G I N E Peace
based on Mystical and Philosophical teachings about the "IDEA" or "IMAGE" being first created
on the Mental plane BEFORE it can come into being in the Physical realm or "Reality".

YOKO IS HEAVY! ("SHE'S SO HEAVY!" John wrote)

And what is all this BASHING about her looks ?!?!
Is this the old double standard again of guys
judging and evaluating woman solely on their "LOOKS" ?

GEE! It sounds EXACTLY like the stuff that YOKO
has been trying to warn us against and trying to
raise our consciousness about !!!

Sorry to interrupt your Boys Club, Locker room
mentality fellas, but how would YOU hold up
under scrutiny about YOUR looks ?!?!
And would YOU want to be judged on THAT ?

Some guy once said: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

And hey! What have YOU done lately to help increase the PEACE and LOVE in the World ?!?!?

All I know is that John Lennon LOVED that woman
and she LOVED him. They found out LOVE is the
answer.

This **** about YOKO (or Linda for that matter)
"Breaking-Up" the Beatles is just that : **** !

John Lennon just GREW UP !

I suggest you try to do the same.

"AND IN THE END, THE LOVE YOU MAKE, IS EQUAL TO
THE LOVE... YOU TAKE".

Hey, Nikki... strange as it seems, i've asked the guys here - a while ago - is there anybody around who likes Yoko and what are the reasons why so many Beatle fans dislike her... in fact, there are a few guys here who do like her, and all the jokes about her here, albeit sometimes they seem to be a bit... eh... rude, are actually "a part of the game"...

Hi Sheena ,

THANKS! for trying to excuse this behavior
as only "RUDE" but ...

A GAME ?!?

Hmmm ?

What is the objective of this "GAME" ?

And what does the "WINNER" win ?

And what do you we all "LOSE" in playing it ?

I'm afraid we're going too far off the main topic, and i wouldn't be very surprised if somebody comes and says, "girls, girls..." (in fact, i wouldn't find anything chauvinistic about such a comment...)
I'd suggest that's just "the game called online forum", as i sometimes call it... there is a guy here who always jokes about Paul McCartney (hey Dane, where are you, mate?!?!). Sometimes we pull each other's legs. Nothing to do with gender or whatsoever, methinks. Paul is a public person and therefore he'll be discussed. Yoko is a public person, too, and therefore she'll be discussed. That's my opinion...
Back to Paul's son?..

Nikki- I think you should find a Yoko forum. You'd be much happier...
i appreciate the posters who've tried to move forward on THIS topic, but it seems all that's known about James has been said.
But i DID learn about a CAPO!! I always thought Capo was the lost Marx brother...
