What's the worst?
Yeah I'm not a big fan of Come Together but the main bass riff and the drums save the song.
As far as "if you got trouble" goes, I rather like it. The main guitar riff is really awesome and the drums are really rocking. The vocals are a tad boring, but I've heard worse from Ringo.
Another one of my favorites, although I wouldn't really call it too underrated, is "Two of Us."

I think it would have been interesting if they had recorded together some of their individual tunes from their 70s work: "Maybe I'm Amazed", "Imagine", "Teddy Boy" (which WAS recorded by them but never released officially), "My Sweet Lord", "Awaiting On You All" and "Apple Scruffs" (two of my favorites from "All Things Must Pass"), "It Don't Come Easy", "Junk", and several others.
Very possibly, they would've ended up much the same as we heard them -- since by that time, they were pretty much working individually anyway. But perhaps there would have been some extra magic, some extra collaboration going on that would have been interesting.
For myself, I thought "Come Together" was great (if a little, uhm, disturbing), and "Mr. Moonlight" was a piece of junk, "You Know My Name" and "Yellow Submarine" were great novelty numbers, and "The Night Before" and "No Reply" were ok, but faintly boring.
Interesting thread...proving that, yet again, while we all admire the body of work by the Beatles as a whole, we have a LOT of different viewpoints about certain songs. Just like we all love Rics....but we each like certain Rics better than others.

I think Come Together is great. The Chuck Berry snippets of lyrics jumbled with Lennon's wordplay and slowed down rhythem...set to a near Native American beat and the reverb effect on the vocal is so cool.
I remember when it was a hit that I loved the guitar during the chorus, still do.
The fabs chemistry didn't always work, but it worked more often than any other band's, and when it did it was so much better than most.
Listening back to that 70s stuff, I'm amazed at how little chem there is in any of the incarnations of Wings, in the studio and on the live album.

I'm also sort of amazed that in the Playboy interviews with Lennon at the end, where he sort of gives the top five reasons the fabs should never get back together, the interviewer didn't also ask "well, seeing as three of you are still active songwriters under contract, isn't it a fact that now, when you've completed a song, and you're going into a studio to cut it with anyone other than those other three guys, you're making a conscious effort to turn in a significantly lesser recording?"

I love "Dear Prudence" too. I love the bass part on that song! Speaking of Emerick's book, I just read the part where he says that "With a Little Help from My Friends" was the Rick with Paul sitting in the control room - Cool! I'd like to think Paul used the Rick on "Dear Prudence" too, but I guess we'll never know for sure though.

"Prudence" is way near the top my list too; incredible song. I'm thinking double tracked Casino on this, especially since John played the bluegrassy part. Some kind of early flange effect here as well, maybe Leslie? (maybe somebody can ask her!!-Sorry.) I'm open to comments here, I'd certainly like to know! Pretty sure there are no 12 strings on the tune though. GREAT SONG! Christian
I think "Julia" is one of their most under-rated tunes, and personally one of their most beautiful. "I Need You" is probably my favorite GH tune.
Least favorites..."I Me Mine" never did much for me, nor did "Piggies"--not to beat on George--I love most of his other stuff, but I never cared much for these two.
