You guys really think I could do better than $3500? Mine has a few headstock dings that I thought would lower the value. And I thought I'd not gouge fellow Forumites in the process. But I do appreciate everyone's honesty.
However, I also have a Jetglo 4001C64S that I REALLY want to sell since I have a 4001C64. There's a chance I may pull the CS off the market if the C64S sells first.

If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

That last eBay bass was practically NOS, which is why it reached that price. Of course, with eBay, you may get lucky with bidders in a frenzy driving the price up more than what it's really worth...
I think that predominantly the $4K mark is still around the going rate for the majority of these CS basses at present.

Good call, Ron.
Then again there are only two basses out of 150 or so I regret having sold - my '68 Paisley Telecaster and my Sea Green V63. With the rest I found once they are out of my sight I was better off with the cash. Now I'm down to my real keepers - the ones that will stay unless disaster strikes.

Well I'll be darned! That one that's linked in that post a few before me has the serial number one digit before me. He's got it listed wrong too, I think. He's saying that's an "R4"61xx, the pic of the jack (why bother with the xx??!!!) sure looks like H4-6158 to me, which puts it squarely in August '91, as he states. My CS is H4-6159. Cool beans!
